An established family run business which produce and sell quality horses, cobs and ponies for all equestrian disciplines.
All our horses are sourced from across mainland europe and the uk , for their temperment, ability and soundness in order to achieve our ethos of providing our clients with horse fit for purpose at a competitive price.
The highfield stables team specialise in the production and training of horses and cobs for the leisure and pleasure rider.
All of the horses unless stated are owned by ourselves, this is something that we pride ourselves on, we are not agents for other dealers. The horses that have been sourced from europe are travelled back to the uk in our own 10 berth horse box which has been newly converted.
Our horses are carefully assessed before being put on sale. They have been schooled, jumped and regularly hacked out, both on quiet rural roads seeing farm traffic. We are also near the incredibly busy A614 which is hectic with coastal traffic. All the horses whilst in our care are fed on haylage, bedded down on dust extracted shavings and fed hard feed if necessary.
They are all wormed with either Equest or Equimax when they arrive and depending on how long the horses are in our care they will go onto our strict worming programme.
All our horses are sold, well shod and if necessary checked by a qualified equine dental technician and all come with a defra approved passport. All the horses are open to vetting either 2 or 5 stage. We can recommend a number of good equine vets in the area.
Transport can be arranged to all areas in the country,either by our own lorry or by outside defra approved transportation.
Some part exchanges are considered with genuine types. We occasionally sell on behalf of clients.
